I started this daily newsletter to do my civic duty and do all I can to keep us all informed amid the veritable anschluss of deeds and misdeeds by the Trump administration.
I currently have 135 subscribers. Three among some of my long-time blog readers purchased a year’s subscription. I have zero paying monthly subscribers. I was prepared for doing this daily work for free from the outset.
Last Friday was the day I was supposed to receive my fixed income payment. I did not.
When I called to find out why there is a disruption, I was told it is a system glitch. My pay comes from a federally funded program. I am afraid this will likely become a recurring problem, given who is really running our government. While I fervently hope that the program under which I am paid isn’t killed entirely, the signs of things to come are not good.
In the meantime, this delay is affecting my ability to deal with normal day to day needs and obligations.
How you can help
If at all possible, the best way to help is by purchasing a $5 a month subscription to my substack. In time, this will ensure I can deal with emergencies and, in the worst case scenario, will ensure my family’s ability to keep a roof over our heads.
So, please, hit the subscribe button? Share my newsletter with friends and in your social media feeds?
It is my pledge to continue keeping you and the rest of us informed from the best sources available.
Thank you,
